- Australiens einheimische Tiere aus nächster Naehe zu sehen
- jeden Tag neue Dinge zu lernen
- wahnsinnig nette Angestellte, die einem immer geholfen haben und mit denen man eine Menge Spass hatte
- Volunteers aus allen Teilen der Welt näher kennenzulernen
- die Natur auf Kangaroo Island... unbeschreiblich!
Do you have 3 top tips for future travellers?- Warme Klamotten mitnehmen, auch wenn ihr Anfang Sommer ankommt! Es kann richtig kalt werden!
- Bettdecken vor dem Schlafengehen ausschütteln, wenn ihr keine Spinnenbisse bekommen wollt ;)
- die Zeit geniessen, die ihr auf Kangaroo Island habt! Sie geht leider viel zu schnell vorbei!

Do you have 3 top tips for future travellers?Always say yes, you never know what it could lead to Don't over pack, I took too much Read through the details of the experience carefully, there were some people who were saying "this isnt what I thought it would be"

Do you have 3 top tips for future travellers?get less vollies and more work for us! (improve organisation) less cheaper deals?! for the Sanctuary.

Best time, evaluating myself, rewarding, friends for life, super staff! Kangaroo Island was the highlight of my whole trip in Australia so far! The volunteering made me feel worthwhile. Physically it was tiring but mentally all the more worthwhile! Highlights were the family-like staff and all the fun around the work. Hanson Bay was fantastic and lots of our free time was spend there! I've made friends for life, changed my choice of what to study, learned an enormous amount of information about the animals and it made me realise how important conservation work is! Nothing is boring, it is what you make of it. Be open to other experiences and pull through when you don't think you can anymore! Afterwards you'll feel all the better! Prepare for a different pace of life at Kangaroo Island. While the work might be hard at times, the working hours are very relaxed. If you want to go fast, do some travelling first! Buy a good camera! You'll see so many amazing animals and nature so be sure to take great pictures.

Die Zeit im Hanson Bay Sanctuary wird etwas sein an dass ich mich immer erinnern werde!!!
Mein Traum einmal inmitten von Koalas, Kängurus, Wallabys und Possums zu leben, wurde ohne Einschränkungen erfüllt. ;o)
Die abwechslungsreiche Arbeit wurde immer gemeinsam mit den fantastischen Managern sowie dem Mitarbeiter des Sanctuarys erledigt. Und meist hatten wir dabei auch eine Menge Spaß!
Einfach eine fantastische Zeit (4 Wochen) die viel zu schnell vorbei war...
